Welcome to The Lamp-Post
Put the past in its place and the future in the right perspective.
The princess bride had it right…
“Life is pain… Anyone who says differently is selling something.”
Suffering is unavoidable. Sometimes, gradually, sometimes suddenly- life can feel overwhelming.
you don’t have to stay overwhelmed.
Your suffering will transform you in one of two ways - broken victim or compelling victor. If you want option 2, the team at The Lamp-Post can help.
We help you put the past in its place and the future in the right perspective.
Change is closer than you think.

Meet the Team
The crew at The Lamp-Post are passionate, professional clinicians who excel in the field.
While our credentials are seriously impressive (our clinicians are all graduates of CACREP-accredited, the highest standard in mental health accreditation for both Marriage and Family Therapy and Licensed Professional Counseling graduate programs), we don’t take ourselves too seriously… We love to laugh with our clients. We enjoy art, a good hike, cooking, running, pets, knitting, and binge-watching our guilty pleasure TV shows.
We all have come through struggles and heartbreak in our own lives. Every clinician at The Lamp-Post has been on the opposite side of the Kleenex box in the therapy process and knows how impactful therapy can be in experiencing change. We also know how disheartening it is when therapy isn’t a positive experience. We take your needs seriously and are honored to work with you to reach your therapy goals. We can’t wait to meet you!
Rebecca Crinean Pickens, M.A.MFT
Life-changing healing is possible. Rebecca has experienced it firsthand in her own life and the lives of her clients! Suffering is a universal experience, but we do not have to remain captives of our past or fear our future. Clients who work with Rebecca see change, often experiencing decreased symptoms after the first session. She provides clients space to process the curve balls life has thrown, and gives them tools to help make practical changes outside sessions to meet their goals.
Rebecca specializes and is passionate about working with clients seeking services for OCD and Asperger's / Autism. Additionally she regularly works with clients with anxiety, depression, life & vocational coaching, relational distress, co-dependency, spiritual discernment, as well as navigating major life transitions.
Rebecca helps clients put the past in its place and the future in the right perspective so joy can be experienced today.
